  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup brown sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast: In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Make dough: Add butter, egg, salt, and flour. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
  3. Roll and fill: Roll dough into a rectangle. Brush with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Roll up: Roll tightly into a loaf, place in a greased pan, and let rise another 30 minutes.
  5. Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
