Ingredients
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- ¾ cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 egg
- 2 ½ cups flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup brown sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for filling)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Activate yeast: In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Make dough: Add butter, egg, salt, and flour. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Roll and fill: Roll dough into a rectangle. Brush with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll up: Roll tightly into a loaf, place in a greased pan, and let rise another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
