These bite-sized pecan tarts are the perfect way to introduce kids to baking pies. They’re sweet, nutty, and come together quickly — no rolling pin required!

Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin pan.
  2. Cut dough: Use a round cookie cutter or cup to cut small circles. Press them into the muffin tin to form mini crusts.
  3. Mix filling: In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, egg, and vanilla. Stir in pecans.
  4. Fill and bake: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into each crust. Bake 20–25 minutes, until set and golden.

Kid Tip:

Kids love spooning in the filling — just remind them not to overfill! Sprinkle a few extra pecans on top for a crunchy finish.
